Gender Gear Access Program

Why?

Jeunesse Lambda’s gender gear access program, seeks to give greater Montreal area’s 14 to 30 year old trans folks access to gear such as binders, gaffs, packers, harnesses, STP, breast forms, etc, for free or on a pay-what-you-can basis.

The organisation hopes that this initiative helps reduce feelings of dysphoria, anxiety, depression and isolation which are so common amongst trans youth. It is paramount to us to make that gear accessible as it is a game changer in the development of a sense of harmony between gender identity and self perception. Gender gear also provides youth with a sense of security and empowerment within their communities as well as in different circles such as work or school spaces.

When?

You can come visit us during our weekly events on Tuesdays from 4 to 7pm, Fridays from 4 to 9pm, Saturdays from 12 to 6pm or email us at trans@jeunesselambda.com to book an appointment for a different time.

How?

We have a bunch of different articles in the space with various sizes so you can try them on and see what works for you. We will then fill out a form together for the gear you want to order. Jeunesse Lambda orders in bulk every two to three weeks therefore we will be able to let you know approximately how long you can expect to wait before receiving your order. A $120 budget per year is allocated to every youth and payment arrangements can be negotiated (ex: for an article that costs $200, we can cover $120 and the youth covers the remainder). The articles below are only a few examples of what is available. You can contact us for makeup, wigs, breast forms, etc.
